People are afraid to be nice.
Yes. AFRAID.
Last year, I learned that ALL emotions stem from one of two things: LOVE or FEAR. It's that simple. Negative = Fear. Postitive = Love.
The people who are mean, rude and conceited are AFRAID.
You know what else? NEVER take it personally. When someone tells you that you're a fat pig, it's not actually about YOU. Think about that. It's about THEM and their insecurities. So... know that. Live in love. Be nice.

That isn't true. Sometimes you have to come to grips with the fact that if someone calls someone else a fat pig, it could possibly be because they're a fat pig.
Secret Admirer.... maybe that person IS indeed large and possible piggish. But the source of the audacity and rudeness of the person who vocalizes that opinion IS based in fear. People who choose to be rude ARE fearful. I can think of no circumstance that the fat pig should be told they are a fat pig - unles the person vocalizing it fears being perceived as inferior. Make sense? (that was quite a ramble!)
correcting my typos: possible should be possibly - unles should be unless
